JENNIFER JOY

PHOTOGRAPHY MANIPULATOR

JENNIFER JOY - EXHIBITING 11.5.16 - 19.6.16
Spent years working at the pixel level, minutely manipulating detail to build complex creations designed to challenge the viewer into seeing more than that which exists in our notion of reality … look deeply and there are so many stories waiting to be discovered … like faces in clouds, all it takes is a touch of imagination and an inner world can be glimpsed …

An example of images from my recent past  ‘Blue Epiphany’ … Image printed on canvas … $120.00

New Direction for an Image-Maker …

I am now breaking the complex down to its simplest form (how I love Photoshop!!!) to reveal stories by sparking the inner memories of the viewer … ‘I remember a chair, or a flower, or a room like that …’  ‘that reminds me of when I was a kid, or was in love, or nana’s garden, and I used to …’    The form is simple, the memories unbounded in response to the absence of an imposed actuality …
